New Testament: Be ye serpents, Be ye doves

Be ye wise,
shrewd, as serpents.
Be ye innocent,
harmless, as doves.

(Slight adaptation of Matthew's Gospel, Chapter 10, Verse 16)

lol, yeah, skim-reading with a Christian friend, from beginning to end, a page every few weeks, trying to understanding his line of thought. Interesting! Occasionally I come across a verse that's rather beneficial (about character or tawakkul or other themes consistent with the Qur'an) so I Blog it. This saying about being soft but not stupid I thought was quite cool. Reminded me of a saying of Umer which I like a lot, about him not cheating people but having the smarts to know a cheater!
